About
Founded in 1985 by Edward Villella, Miami City Ballet is one of the foremost Balanchine companies outside New York City. Based in Miami Beach and performing across South Florida including the Arsht Center, the company is dedicated to bringing George Balanchine's neoclassical vision to the widest possible audience.
Since 2012, Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez has expanded the company's repertoire while honoring its Balanchine legacy, bringing innovative choreography and world-class performances to South Florida.
