Biography

Zai Calliste is a young British-Australian dancer born in London to a Caribbean father and Australian mother. He grew up in Australia, where he began his dance training through Scottish Highland Dancing before expanding into ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles at The Ann Roberts School of Dance in Townsville. At age 16, he was awarded a full scholarship to train at Annette Roselli Dance Academys Elite Training Program in Brisbane. He relocated to London at seventeen to study at English National Ballet School under Viviana Durante and Lynne Charles, graduating in 2024 and joining the company in 2025. At just 19, he achieved recognition, winning the Audience Choice Award and Bronze Medal at the RADs Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition (2023).
