    Biography

    Henry Dowden trained at Royal Ballet Junior Associates, White Lodge, and the Royal Ballet Upper School before joining English National Ballet in 2017. A dancer of considerable versatility, Dowden was promoted to First Artist in 2018, Junior Soloist in 2023, and Soloist in 2024. His extensive repertoire includes leading roles in contemporary works such as Akram Khan's Giselle and Creature, as well as classical roles in Swan Lake, La Sylphide, Nutcracker, and Manon. He has created roles in William Forsythe's Playlist and Stina Quagebeur's Nora, demonstrating his commitment to new choreographic work and artistic development.
