    Biography

    Charlotte Tonkinson is a British Coryphée of The Royal Ballet, promoted to First Artist in 2022. She began dancing in Doncaster, training through the Centre for Advanced Training programme under Yoko Ichino and at the Academy of Northern Ballet in Leeds before attending The Royal Ballet Upper School. She joined the company in 2016.

    Tonkinson is a committed ensemble dancer with a wide classical and contemporary portfolio. Her roles include Kitri's Friend in Don Quixote, the Fairy of the Enchanted Garden in The Sleeping Beauty, and Fairy Autumn in Cinderella, alongside created roles in works by Joseph Toonga, Gemma Bond, and Joshua Junker.
