Biography

Daichi Ikarashi is a Japanese Soloist of The Royal Ballet, promoted in 2024 after joining the Aud Jebsen Young Dancers Programme in 2020. He trained at Niigata Ballet School before attending The Royal Ballet School, graduating as the most outstanding male student.

Ikarashi is a technically brilliant and expressive dancer, particularly noted for his comic timing and buoyant elevation. He won the Erik Bruhn Prize in 2023. His roles include Puck in The Dream, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, and the Jester in Cinderella.
