Biography

Taisuke Nakao is a Japanese Soloist of The Royal Ballet, promoted in 2023. Born in Matsuyama, he trained at the Ehime Ballet Academy in Japan and at the Academy of Dance Mannheim in Germany before winning a Prix de Lausanne scholarship to The Royal Ballet School in 2017. He joined the company in 2018.

Nakao is a quick and technically precise dancer with a natural gift for roles requiring speed and wit. His roles include Puck in The Dream, the Jester in Cinderella, Bratfisch in Mayerling, and Benno in Swan Lake.
