Biography

Martin Diaz is a Spanish Artist of The Royal Ballet, joining the company in 2023. Born in Bilbao, he trained initially at Igor Yebra's school before attending the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma in Madrid. He won a scholarship to The Royal Ballet School at 18 and entered the company via the Aud Jebsen Young Dancers Programme in 2022.

Diaz is an expressive and technically grounded dancer. He performed Jean de Brienne in Raymonda in his graduation year and has created roles in Robert Binet's Dark with Excessive Bright, alongside growing his repertoire in the Royal Ballet's contemporary output.
