Mayara Magri is a Principal of The Royal Ballet, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She began training at the Petite Danse School in Rio de Janeiro on scholarship at age eight, winning the Prix de Lausanne Scholarship and Audience Prize in 2011 along with the Senior Age Division at Youth America Grand Prix, which brought her to The Royal Ballet School. She joined the Company in 2012.

Magri progressed through the ranks as First Artist (2015), Soloist (2016), First Soloist (2018), and Principal in 2021. Her promotion to Principal was a recognition of a consistent and deepening artistry that had long been evident in her work across the full breadth of the Company's repertory.

Her roles include Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Myrtha and Giselle in Giselle, Kitri in Don Quixote, and Cinderella. She created the role of Rosaura in Christopher Wheeldon's Like Water for Chocolate, and has also created roles in works by Mthuthuzeli November including For What It's Worth, Multiverse, Corybantic Games, and Prima.
