    Biography

    Claire Calvert is a British First Soloist of The Royal Ballet, joining the company in 2007 after training at White Lodge and The Royal Ballet Upper School. She began her association with the company as a Junior Associate in Bristol and was coached during her school years by Darcey Bussell.

    Calvert made her first principal role debut as the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty in 2009, and has since built a wide-ranging classical repertoire. Her roles include Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Gamzatti in La Bayadère, the Queen of the Wilis in Giselle, Hermione in The Winter's Tale, and the Mother/Queen of Hearts in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
