    Biography

    Annette Buvoli is an American First Soloist of The Royal Ballet, promoted in 2024. Born in Boulder, Colorado, to Italian scientist parents, she came to ballet at the age of ten through Boulder Ballet before winning a place at The Royal Ballet School. She joined the company in 2013.

    Buvoli has developed a broad repertoire spanning the dramatic and classical. Her roles include the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Empress Elisabeth in Mayerling, Myrtha in Giselle, and Mercedes in Don Quixote. She brings a natural authority and physical clarity to both the classical canon and character-led roles.
